The Renault Triber has always been known as one of the most practical small cars in India. Designed to get the most out of every inch, it remains one of the most space-efficient MPVs under 4 metres on sale. What makes it stand out is its flexible seating – you can transform it into a five-, six- or seven-seater depending on your needs. For 2025, Renault has refreshed the Triber with a cleaner design, smarter features and a more modern interior.
Smarter design and new variants
2025 Triber looks more polished than ever. Its new face follows Renault’s global design language sharper DRLs, fog lights set lower on the bumperand one new 2D Renault logo in the center. The overall attitude remains familiar, but dual-tone 15-inch flex wheels and fresh color options like Amber terracotta and Shade gray add a premium touch.
On the side the black gloss door handle and refined clothing give it a nicer look. Higher variants now get one black roofwhich improves the car’s proportions. On the back has Triber LED rear lights associated with one glossy black stripwith subtle dark accents and new “Triber” lettering. While some may prefer the older cleaner design, the new look clearly feels more current.
Renault has also renamed its trims – Triber now comes in Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion variants, with AMT gearbox only available on the top Emotion trim.
Fresh cabin and extra comfort
Step inside and the updates are easy to spot. The Dashboard design is inspired by Kigerwith one two-tone black and beige theme that gives the cabin a lighter and more open feel. ONE wireless charger is added along with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system placed high on the dashboard for easier visibility. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlaywhich makes daily use much simpler.
Other thoughtful details include a start/stop button, cruise controland new charging ports for all three rows. The driver’s armrest and redesigned steering wheel (with integrated controls and the new Renault logo) also improves comfort and convenience.
Space remains the tribe’s greatest strength. The third row seats can be removed completelyrelease up to 621 liter luggage compartment when necessary. Even with all the seats up, it’s still one of the few cars in its price range that can really carry seven people in reasonable comfort.
Packed with safety and technology
Renault has packed the 2025 Triber with more technology and better safety features. The feature list now includes automatic headlights, rain-sensitive wipersa 360 degree cameraand one 7-inch digital driver display.
On the safety front, the car now comes standard six airbags, ESP, traction control, hill start assistand one tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Renault has also strengthened body shell for improved collision protection.
Same engine, familiar drive
Under the hood, Triber continues with the proven 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 72 hp and 96 Nm of torquepaired with either one 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The manual version delivers approx 19 km/lwhile AMT returns approx 18.3 km/l.
In town, the Triber feels easy to drive and responsive in lower gears. The clutch and steering are light, making it ideal for city commuting. Out on the highways, however, the engine feels modest. Cruising at 100 km/h is comfortable, but overtaking often requires a downshift. The 0–100 km/h acceleration is slow and enthusiasts may find it underpowered compared to turbocharged rivals.
ONE turbo petrol optionlike the one offered in the Renault Kiger would have made it a stronger performer. Still, the existing engine is refined, fuel efficient and reliable for everyday city use.
Comfort and ride quality
Where the Triber really shines is comfort. The the suspension is perfectly tuned for Indian roadswhich easily absorbs unevenness and uneven surfaces. Despite its height, the bodywork is well controlled and the car feels stable through turns. The steering is light at low speeds and decently gains weight as speed increases.
With 182 mm clearanceTriber handles bad roads with confidence. Even when fully loaded, the suspension doesn’t bottom out, adding to its family-friendly appeal. The only complaint is the bit small steering wheelwhich can feel a bit light on tight turns.

Final thoughts
The Renault Triber 2025 stays true to its original promise – a smart, spacious and family-friendly MPV that delivers more than its price suggests. The refreshed design, extra features and improved cabin make it feel more premium, although the engine remains unchanged.
For families who value space, comfort and functionality over performance, the new Triber is one of the most sensible cars in its class. It’s not built to excite, but it’s built to make every journey easier – and that’s exactly what most buyers want.
